Riding Lessons

Adonai Farms offers a variety of riding lessons, from beginner through advanced. We are located in Conowingo, Md directly off of Rt 1.
Resident trainer/owner, Susan Brooks, has been riding for 35 years and teaching for over 20 !!! The last 20 years of her career have been spent specializing in Dressage although she loves the horses/ponies to crosstrain and trail ride too.
She has bred and trained her own horses up through the FEI levels of dressage and has won many awards over the years. In 2009 she won High Score on two horses at four different levels…. Training, First, Fourth, and Prix St George. She also won Trainer of the Year with Maryland Dressage Association.

Susan’s daughter, Sarah, has now taken over a large part of the lesson program. She has been riding since about the time she could walk and is very accomplished. As of 2009 she is currently riding and showing Third Level Dressage and, along with many other year end awards, in 2009 earned High Score Champion with the Maryland Dressage Association. She has also traveled to the Morven Park Region 1 Young Rider Team Championships twice.
Sarah, as the oldest daughter of six children, is very comfortable with young people and enjoys working with individuals and groups learning to ride. Since she also showed in the hunter ring in the earliest days of her riding, she is very well rounded in her approach to teaching every one of all ages and various skill levels.

Group lessons, typically 3 and 4 riders, are $30 and hour. They are scheduled on Friday evenings. Private lessons are available throughout the week and Saturdays and are $50 a session.
Currently we are offering a FREE lesson to anyone who is interested in the lesson program.
